Class 2 Driver

Job Summary

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an additional experienced driver.  We are a Waste Management Company based in Walton on Thames, looking for enthusiastic, careful and conscientious professional drivers, who will pride themselves on representing our established Company.

We are leading the way in our industry in fleet standards. All our vehicles are Euro 6 certified and equipped with the latest operating equipment as well as market leading vehicle safety technology. We set very high standards to ourselves and our drivers and we continue to develop all vehicle operators to keep and exceed these standards. We are FORS Gold accredited. Candidates must be willing to work within the standard.

Daily Duties will include:

  • Conducting collections of waste from our range of customers across Surrey and Middlesex

  • Carry out thorough daily inspection checks as a legal requirement, complete defect and damage reports

  • Be fully compliant with the Transport WTD within tachograph legislation requirements

  • Ensure full compliance with Company Health & Safety procedures and regulations at all times

  • Follow appropriate reporting processes where necessary in the event of incident and near-miss occurrences

  • Ensure uniform/PPE is worn at all times whilst on duty and is kept in a clean, tidy and serviceable manner in accordance with company and Health & Safety requirements

  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times to external and internal customers

  • Be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles

  • Follow company processes and procedures regarding completion of documentation and paperwork

  • Report for work on time and ensure satisfactory completion of duty hours

  • Must be able to work Monday to Friday 06:30 to 16:30 and every other Saturday 07:00 to 12:00 with the flexibility to work over your agreed hours when operationally required

  • Must be fluent in English

  • Familiar with handheld PDA devices. (Training will be given)

  • The ideal candidates will be offered an extremely competitive salary depending on experience, we offer full training if you hold an LGV 2 licence and have experience in Skips

  • Class 2 LGV License (Min 2 years)

  • Valid driver CPC

  • Must not have DD Conviction or more than 6 points
